A stylistic exercise in the making of a simple sleek wooden table. The harmony of intertwining wooden pieces together, perfectly assembled, create a table. We enjoyed fitting together the wood according to traditional carpentry practices- without screws or metallic elements - inspired by male and female parts fitting into each other naturally the way they are with sexual encounters in the Kama sutra asking to be endlessly continued.
Ash wood is a robust wood with pretty veining that lended itself perfectly to creating this beautiful handmade piece. The proportions lend themselves to providing a table for a party of four yet remain in a size suitable for a single diner too. This timeless object will only become more interesting with age.
