closet door (dovetail joint)

When building wooden furniture there are a few carpenters tricks that are usually hidden: like a dovetail joint. What we find interesting is showing what holds a piece of furniture together, rather than keeping it hidden. In this example of work we chose to bring it forth - it creates a pattern, a new aesthetics which wasn´t added on for the sake of creating something pretty, since it already belongs to this piece of work. The Dovetail joints are made of oak wood and are harder and darker than the white wood, out of which the rest of the furniture was carpentered.
