We created this artistic representation of a volcano with plaster on a wooden construction. The director approached Doubledouble because she knew that Nelli was a sculptor . Together they first realised a small-scale model using modelling clay. Like a tabernacle on wheels, the prop was made with styrofoam walls for low weight, and all the technical implications of a low-cost production. The volcano looked like a far-away mountain landscape in the snow. For the actors the interaction with this large prop that was able to smoke was fun and engaging.
